In-Gear Mechanical is a full-service repair shop that has the equipment and expertise to repair all makes and models of vehicles, including gas, diesel, hybrid, or electric. We also are equipped to maintain medium- duty and commercial vehicles, emphasizing preventative maintenance to minimize operational costs and prevent unnecessary breakdowns.
At In-Gear, it is important to take care of both our customers and their vehicles to the best of our ability. We offer a preventative maintenance program including a free visual inspection on every visit and a maintenance schedule driven by the manufacturers' recommendations. And we stand behind our work with a 1 year / 20,000 km warranty on parts and labor. While your car is in the shop you can enjoy free coffee in our comfortable waiting area, or take advantage of our free shuttle service within Castlegar. Whether your company owns one vehicle or a diverse fleet, In-Gear offers custom service packages for commercial fleets to suit your maintenance and repair needs. Our shop accommodates vehicles up to 10 tons, and we have the equipment and expertise to diagnose and repair light - to medium-duty vehicles as well as all integrated equipment and electronic systems. We also offer a pickup / dropoff service for commercial fleets. For payment options, In-Gear is registered with FOSS, ARI, Element Fleet and Jim Pattison Fleet.

When you book your appointment let us know if you need help with transportation. We can shuttle you to where you need to go while your vehicle is in our care, or a courtesy vehicle may be arranged .
WARRANTY
At In-Gear, we stand behind our work - we offer a 1 year / 20,000 km warranty on parts and labor for repairs, and up to 3 years / 60,000 km on select repairs or services.

I've done all my own auto work for 35 years except mounting/balancing and alignments. After 2 failed attempts at other shops (one charged me $200 and actually made my truck un-driveable!) I tried In Gear. They had the cheapest 4 wheel alignment I could find and they sounded pleasant on the phone. I ended up with the owner doing the work and he invited me in to watch. He used a new laser Snap-On alignment machine and had my truck rolling straight in an hour. He even took it out for a test drive and took it back in for a tweak because he wasn't fully satisfied. I was very satisfied with the work and would not hesitate to go back or recommend them.
